OPERATIONAL CHALLENGES

What Access Control Has to Solve in Factories & Warehouses

Managing high-traffic security barriers requires resolving critical operational, compliance, and environmental challenges.

Sober-Only Policy Enforcement

Construction sites, logistics hubs, and mining operations face safety liability if impaired workers operate machinery or work at height. Traditional clock-in systems do not verify sobriety. Manual breath-testing at each site entrance requires staffing and is inconsistent. EASCO combines face recognition with alcohol detection—every employee clock-in includes an automatic breathalyzer reading. Results are logged per person, per shift. If an employee tests above the configured limit, the system prevents clock-in and alerts supervisors. Legally defensible, automatically enforced, no manual testing.

Multi-Shift Attendance Across Extended Hours

Large facilities run 24/7: day shift, swing shift, night shift, plus weekend and holiday staffing. One central attendance terminal cannot serve 500+ employees clocking in during all hours. Multiple biometric terminals spread across the site allow employees to clock in at their work area entrance. Every terminal authenticates using the same enrolled face database, synced across the site. Time stamps and location (which gate) are logged per employee, giving supervisors visibility into shift coverage and site utilization.

Site Spread and Distributed Access Control

Warehouses and factory floors span acres. Office buildings, parking lots, dock areas, manufacturing floor, storage zones—each requires its own access control. Portable handheld biometric terminals enable quick enrollment at distributed locations without requiring employees to visit a central office. Supervisors can enroll new hires at the dock or on the manufacturing floor, then sync enrollment data to the central system via WiFi or USB. Eliminates bottleneck, accelerates onboarding, reduces administrative overhead.

HARDWARE MIX

The Right Product Mix for Factories & Warehouses

EASCO recommends integrating face recognition with alcohol detection for main entries and handheld biometrics for field deployment.

THE EASCO COMMITMENT

Why Factory & Warehouse Facilities Choose EASCO

EASCO manufactures biometric terminals in-house at our Shenzhen facility. The combination of face recognition with alcohol detection is unique—we integrate both sensors and verify accuracy under real factory conditions. Every unit is tested before shipment. ISO 9001:2015 certified. Multi-shift operations, 24/7 deployment, and site-wide scale—we've handled all of it in 80,000+ installations across 50+ countries. Alcohol detection accuracy is logged for compliance; shift data is real-time viewable by supervisors; enrollment happens anywhere on site via handheld terminals. Direct factory support means faster answers and faster troubleshooting.

When an employee approaches the terminal, the system first scans their face (99.98% accuracy). If the face matches an enrolled employee, the system automatically triggers a breathalyzer scan. The employee breathes into the sensor. If the reading is below the facility's configured threshold (e.g., 0.05% BAC), the employee clocks in and the door unlocks. If above threshold, clock-in is denied and supervisors are alerted. Both face and alcohol results are logged.

EASCO alcohol sensors test positive to ±6.0 mg/100mL accuracy. This is suitable for enforcing internal safety policies (preventing impaired workers from entering the facility). However, BAC results are not suitable for legal prosecution in most jurisdictions—they require certified laboratory testing. Use EASCO results for policy enforcement, not legal proceedings. Consult local regulations for your specific use case.

Yes. Multiple face recognition terminals across the site all authenticate against the same enrolled face database. Each terminal syncs to the central system, so supervisors can view real-time attendance from any gate. You can also use handheld portable terminals to enroll new hires on-site without a central office visit.

Yes. All EASCO face recognition terminals use 2MP infrared cameras, enabling recognition in complete darkness. IR illumination lights the employee's face; the algorithm recognizes the thermal pattern. Works regardless of ambient light or time of day.

System administrators can manually log clock-out times, approve exceptions, or mark absences in the attendance records. The biometric terminal provides the base log; supervisors override as needed. All overrides are logged with timestamp and approver name for audit compliance.
