JY Single Arm Gate — Complete Technical Specification
Credential In. Arm Lifts. 4 Steps.
Every JY gate follows the same control flow — from credential check to passage.
Step 1 — Identity Verification
The selected credential module — card, QR, or face recognition — processes the authorization signal. Without a module fitted, an external button or remote control triggers the open signal.
Step 2 — Controller Signal
The ARM control core receives the result and sends an open signal via RS485, RS232, or IO relay. Wiegand 26/34 output connects to third-party access control software.
Step 3 — Gate Movement
The servo motor lifts the arm in under 1.5 seconds. The arm holds for the configured dwell time, then resets. Throughput reaches 30 persons per minute.
Step 4 — Safety & Reset
On power cut or fire alarm, the arm opens and locks open. The ARM core retains the arm's position — no recalibration is needed when power returns.
What Buyers Ask Before Ordering the JY Single Arm Gate
Anywhere from 550mm to 1,700mm, set at the time of order, with enough room at the top end for a bicycle, a trolley, or a small non-motorised vehicle.
Not included as standard, only as an optional single pair. Where children, high foot traffic, or multiple people passing through on one open cycle are a possibility, EASCO's own guidance recommends fitting that sensor option rather than relying on manual enforcement.
Card reader, QR scanner, ID/passport reader, or a face recognition panel none built in; all optional. Without any fitted, the gate opens on a remote or external button signal.
Rated as an indoor unit by default, but EASCO's installation guidance permits outdoor placement if the gate sits on a raised concrete platform (100–200mm) with a weather canopy fitted; treat that as a required modification, not optional, for any outdoor site.
15 million open/close cycles on the DC servo motor, with servicing limited to lubricating the mechanical parts roughly every six months.

Passage width and price. The JF4 moves people faster and comes with sensors as standard, but tops out at 1,200mm. The JY trades that speed for a wider passage and a lower cost, worth it specifically when the site needs to move wheeled items through, not just people.
