8-Inch Face Recognition Terminal
Recognizes faces at 99.98% accuracy in 200–300 ms using dual RGB and IR cameras — the IR camera keeps recognition accurate in complete darkness, no added lighting required. Carries an IP65 rating for outdoor and industrial environments, and integrates via Wiegand 26/34, RS485, or TCP/IP into existing access control platforms.
High‑Security Contactless, Biometrics Iris Stable Lifelong
The 8-Inch Face Recognition Terminal is an 8-inch face recognition terminal running Android. It recognizes faces at 99.98% accuracy in 200–300 ms, stores 50,000 face templates onboard, and carries an IP65 rating for dust-proof and water-jet-resistant outdoor or industrial deployment. Supports 4 installation methods:Wall-mounted, floor stand, desktop, or direct-mount on EASCO or your own turnstile gates.
Auto-Focus Iris Capture Lens .
Iris recognition offers a higher level of security. The 2 MP RGB wide-dynamic camera handles recognition in normal lighting conditions; the 2 MP IR camera maintains accuracy in complete darkness — no separate lighting required for night operation. Liveness detection rejects photo spoofing, screen replays, and printed masks.
Open APIs . Support Custom Development.
Wiegand 26/34 output connects directly to third-party access control platforms and time-attendance systems — no firmware modification needed. RS485 serial communication handles multi-device bus installations. TCP/IP via RJ45 Ethernet or WiFi 2.4 GHz connects to network-based management systems. USB 2.0 port available for data transfer and peripheral connection.
Techniical Specifications
Face Presented. Matched. Gate Opens. 4 Steps.
The 8-Inch Face Recognition Terminal runs the full recognition loop locally in 200–300 ms — no cloud round-trip on the access decision.
Step 1 — Presence Detection
The IR camera detects a person at 0.5–3 m. Liveness detection verifies a live human is present — not a photo, screen, or mask.
Step 2 — Recognition
The RGB camera captures the face. The onboard processor compares it against up to 50,000 stored templates at 99.98% accuracy. The decision is made locally in 200–300 ms.
Step 3 — Access Signal
A match triggers a relay switch output, Wiegand 26/34 signal, or RS485 command to the connected gate, door lock, or access control system. The gate opens or the lock releases.
Step 4 — Record & Reset
The access event is logged locally and synced to the connected management platform. The terminal resets and is ready for the next user within milliseconds.
What Buyers Ask Before Ordering the 8-Inch Face Recognition Terminal
EASCO states recognition accuracy at 99.98%. Recognition runs locally on the onboard processor in 200–300 ms — no cloud round-trip required for the access decision.
Yes. The 2 MP IR camera enables recognition in complete darkness. The IP65 housing protects against dust and direct water jets. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +75°C.
Wiegand 26/34 output, RS485, TCP/IP Ethernet (RJ45), WiFi 2.4 GHz, USB 2.0, and relay switch output. SDK and API documentation available for custom platform integration.
Yes — the MTH8 mounts on EASCO speed gates and swing gates. It also installs wall-mounted, on a floor stand, or as a desktop unit using the appropriate accessory.
